Graduating Class of '09

...of PRESCHOOL, that is.

I have become the type (if you want to call it that) of mom who thinks it is ridiculous that there is a "graduation" for what seems like every year of elementary and even junior high. I mean, c'mon...haven't they gone a little too far. I can see maybe a small ceremony for 5th and 8th grade....but its gotten out of hand.
Now, don't get me wrong. I may think it's ridiculous, but I'm still the mom who is in the front row taking a ba-zillion pictures and making sure their cap is on straight and almost a little teary-eyed while they sing, "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" or "Yankee Doodle". But seriously, it just amazes me how far they have come in almost 5 short years...and what amazes me even more is that they will be learning to READ next year AND that means - no more s-p-e-l-l-i-n-g w-o-r-d-s o-u-t s-o t-h-e-y d-o-n-t k-n-o-w w-h-a-t I-'m s-a-y-i-n-g. It also means they will be at school from 9-2. Hallelujah!!! Did I mention they can take the bus too?! I don't know about this one, but they are begging me so I might just have to follow the Big Yellow Bus for a while...hehe.
My little babies have reached the age where "Mom, I'm not your baby anymore" and "Mom, I want to have 10 babies and get married" and last but definitely not least "Mom, how do babies come out of your tummy?" (easy for me, "honey, the Dr. took you out!!")...haha.
