I'm sure you're asking..."you've never taken the girls roller skating before" and honestly, I thought the same thing...until we actually went! My niece, Josie had a roller skating party and I thought it was the perfect time to take the girls. It was just as difficult as I thought it would be...fun...but difficult! Thank goodness for Lori, Shannen and her friend. Dave was out of town so not only did I have to watch Charlotte and try to explain why she couldn't skate but the girls also needed supervision on the rink. Needless to say, we have started practicing A LOT more since then...but the girls came out of it doing the Hokie Pokie!!!

I have a great memory of the fist time I went roller skating, about the same age of the girls, so I'm gonna have to dig it out and post it.

big bear.snow days

our family and the vidales' spent a nice relaxing weekend up in big bear before "StormWatch 2010" hit... at first we were hoping to get snowed in by the upcoming storm so we could really enjoy the snow, but as luck would have it, Dave was called to work - so we ended up leaving right before the storm...even though we didn't get the fresh powder we still had a great time and are looking forward to doing it again...soon.

we can officially say we are related to a REAL princess! you should have seen the girls faces when I showd themthese pictures of their cousin and explained that she is a Princess...I'm embarassed to say that we have never met our cousin, Amanda, but we are SO proud of her. My grampa sent me this link to the local newspaper in Washington announcing the new 2010 Miss Silverdale...Miss Amanda Maynard! Congratulations, we are so proud of you!

i had to post these pictures of charlotte and jordan from the other day. charlotte and i met up with joannah and jordan at fashion island and the girls just had so much fun together! these two girls with have so many stories to tell by the time they are mommy's of their own...i have a pretty good feeling these two are going to cause some t-r-o-u-b-l-e...

christmas 2009

the month of December just FLEW by!! I can't believe its over!! im guessing the older the girls get the faster time passes...which makes me sad to think that they are growing up but excited for the future and new adventures!

Dave and I celebrated our 6th year anniversary on December 11th by going out to a fabulous dinner and we were suppose to keep it a "gift-free" night, but my sweet hubby surprised me with a beautiful diamond tennis bracelet!

Hannah's class took a day off from their hard work at learning to read and graphing (YES, they graph in Kindergarten) to make gingerbread houses. I was able to help out and I must say....hers turned out the BEST! just look at that snowman...

Alyssa's class didn't get the chance to make the gingerbread houses and I couldn't have just Hannah's displayed...so we had our own gingerbread house-making night at home. I took a few tips from Hannah's teacher and......voila.
