4
th of
july is my absolute favorite holiday. From the moment we wake up to the second our heads hit the pillow, we are celebrating
Independence day. If it's not the parade (for those who don't live around here, it's the largest 4
th of
july parade west of the Mississippi), or
BBQ's... it's riding around on your bikes to who knows where making friends along the way and I can't leave out the fireworks (some legal...some not). It's a blast and I think all our friends who don't live around here MUST come out at least once to experience it...this year, we added the company of the
vidales family to our parade fun and followed that by a yummy lunch at Dave's parents house. Instead of taking the party to our house like we've done for the last 3 years, we congregated at the
Yadrick house. Dave and I actually left the girls at
grammy and
grandpap's while we ventured off into the wild. We rode our bikes around and ended the day at one of by best friend's 30
th bday bash! Leila's mama and hubby threw a great party...accompanied by
delish persian food, even better jello shots and a lovely slide show...
all in all, the 4th was a day to remember
Happy Birthday Lei!!
